Ascent Autism Advice Forum – EHCPs, annual reviews, phase transfer, Tribunals and appeals

Our next Ascent Autism Advice forum is taking place on Wednesday 5th June at 10.30am.

The topic of our first session will cover EHCPs, annual reviews, phase transfer, Tribunals and appeals and will be delivered by Samantha Williams, Solicitor in the Education department of HCB solicitors.

HCB solicitors provide expert special educational needs advice in England (and Wales), providing advice and assistance with securing additional support for children and young people with special educational needs. This involves supporting families and young people with kick starting the process of requesting a statutory assessment, supporting throughout to obtain an EHCP. They also assist with Annual Reviews for EHCPs, to include transitions between a phase of education providing advice and assistance with appeals to the Special Educational Needs Tribunal to challenge Local Authority decisions in relation to all aspects of the statutory assessment process and Education, Health and Care Plans. This involves providing expert advice and assistance with securing specialist schools for children and young people with special educational needs.

If you would like to book a place for this session, please email nataliemolyneux@ascent.college and advise if you will be attending via Teams. A link will then be shared prior to the session taking place.

We look forward to you joining this session.
